5 dead, 15 hurt in Swat

SWAT - At least five persons were killed and fifteen others injured in separate incidents in the restive Swat District while Taliban set on fire another private college in Guili Bagh area of Tehsil Charbagh on Saturday.

Local sources said that two persons were killed and fifteen others were injured when the security forces mistakenly fired shells on two houses in Ror Bingar area of Tehsil Matta. The killed persons were identified as Mian Asghar, and Mohammad Qayum, while the names of the injured persons were not confirmed.

In the same area security forces pounded the suspected hideouts of the militants where a dozen of houses were damaged.

Meanwhile, two other civilians were killed when unknown miscreants opened fire on them in Shkdara area of Tehsil Matta. The killed persons were identified as Momin Gul and Bukht Biland.
