Ghee, edible oil prices reduced by Rs5 per kg

Ghee and edible oil will now be available in the open market at Rs 115 per kg, a net Rs 5 reduction from its earlier price, Rs 120 per kg. Similarly, USC (Utility Stores Corporation) will also reduce the prices of ghee and edible oil from Rs 110 per kg to Rs 105 per kg. The price reduction will be applicable with immediate effect.

According to the ministry, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Advisor to PM on Industries and Production, announced this decision in a meeting with APVMA and APSEA (All Pakistan Solvent Extractors Association).

The meeting was also attended by Secretary Industries Shahab Khawaja, Chairman PVMA Abdul Waheed, Vice Chairman APSEA Mushahid Shah and senior officials of the Ministry of Commerce, MINFAL, FBR, USC and MOIP.
