ISLAMABAD (APP) - The two more 230 megawatt units of Mangla Dam powerhouse, hit by a technical fault last month, started supplying power to the national grid on Sunday.
Mangla Powerhouse shift engineer told a private TV channel that following the restoration of two units of 115 MW each, six out of ten units of the powerhouse have been restored thus generating a total of 690MW of electricity from Mangla.
He, however, has expressed the hope that the remaining four units of the Mangla Powerhouse would also be restored in the next two to four days. It is pertinent to mention here that Mangla Powerhouse had closed due to developing a wiring fault.
