Close aide of Fazlullah arrested

SWAT – The security forces arrested a close aide of Maulana Fazlullah, TTP Swat chief, from Charbagh besides recovering bodies of four militants on Monday. Three more militants surrendered to security forces in tehsil Kabal.
Security forces arrested Ali Shah Khan, a close aid of Maulana Fazlullah, in a raid in Charbagh. The forces also recovered 80 tolas of gold and some important documents from him.
It is believed that during Operation Rah-e-Haq of the security forces in Swat, Maulana Fazlullah stayed at Ali Shah’s house.
Security forces in a separate raid in Charbagh arrested two more militants Shafiq Ahmad and Salman, who are close relatives of militant commander Bashir.
Meanwhile, four bodies of militants were recovered, three from mountainous area of Maindan and another from Chamtalai area of Khawazakhela.
Three militants identified as Habib Noor, Barkat and Abdul Khaliq surrendered to the forces. According to ISPR press release, at least 12 suspected militants including seven Afghans were arrested during search operation in Kalam, Bahrain, Naway Kalay and Minglore.
