Free all the way to Toronto

LAHROE - A Pakistan International Airlines loader reached Toronto by a PIA flight without any travel documents as well as escaping immigration and security checking process, sources in Immigration department revealed to TheNation on Friday.

The sources said that a PIA loader who had been regularised in the recent past purchased a domestic ticket and boarded PIA flight PK-781 which was scheduled to fly from Karachi to Islamabad and onward to Toronto on July 31.

The passenger did not get off at Islamabad airport and managed to continue his flight for Toronto and when landed at Toronto airport, he claimed political asylum there. During his physical search, six boarding cards of another family were found which had got down at Islamabad airport.

This particular flight was also boarded by Islamabad-bound domestic passengers Toronto passengers. All the domestic passengers got off the aircraft but PIA loader remained on board.

The loader remained on board the aircraft, while it was on transit at Islamabad.
