Funeral of martyred security men today
The funeral of four security men out of 21 killed in suicide attack at a security checkpoint in Torkham, will be held in Landi Kotal today. No distinguished person attending the funeral prayers of the security men due to fear of suicide attack, reports said. At least 21 Khasadars were martyred when a suicide bomber hit a security checkpoint at Torkham, the main border crossing for convoys ferrying NATO supplies into Afghanistan. The attacker approached on foot and detonated his explosives at the Torkham checkpoint in the Khyber region, Political Agent Capt (Rtd) Tariq Hayat said. Border guards were gathering in front of their barracks after sunset for Iftar when the bomber struck, according to Jehanzeb Lateef, spokesman for the agency.
