Ace spy agency to work under previous capacity: ISPR
July 28, 2008 ISLAMABAD (Online) - DG ISPR Major Gen Athar Abbas has said that notification of placing ISI as subordinate department of Ministry of Interior has been misunderstood.
While talking to private TV channel, he said that notification was meant to enhance coordination between Ministry of Interior and ISI. Both ISI and IB are poles apart keeping in view their their structures, organisation and responsibilities, he added.
