ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-Q’s central leader Hamid Nasir Chattha along with his loyal parliamentarians in Punjab Assembly as well as lawmakers from the Upper and Lower Houses is pressurising Chaudhrys to strike power-sharing deal with PPP with an apparent objective to secure the slot of Punjab’s Chief Minister.
The sources within PML-Q claimed that a large group of party lawmakers was supporting the stance of Chattha and was more inclined to clinch a deal with PPP rather than mother party, PML-N. “The harsh attitude of N-League toward Chaudhrys of Gujrat even after the break-up with PPP has also pushed party’s central command to enter into serious negotiations with PPP”, the sources said.
