Shujaat hints at understanding with 'N'
Source: Our staff reporter August 29, 2008 ISLAMABAD - Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President Pakistan Muslim League-Q categorically stated here on Thursday that his party’s presidential candidate, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, would not withdraw from the election for the office of the President of Pakistan under any condition.
“Our party does not want to indulge in any number game, but we will not withdraw our candidate’, he said while talking to media persons in PML House. Shujaat said that PML-Q did not want to take any step that was against the integrity of the country. “Negotiations with other parties will continue but we will not lose the importance and identity of PML-Q, which is the party of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Mushahid Hussain Sayed accused that the manipulations regarding presidential elections were taking place speedily but PML-Q had held Pakistan as its topmost priority. “A President should be a role model for the entire country, rather that a man who had gotten sixty million dollars by money laundering”, he alleged. He also said that PML-Q was fighting for the future of Pakistan and it would not like to see corruption and confrontation in the country again.
