Govt bans New Year Night festivities

ISLAMABAD (Online) - All the festivities regarding 'New Year Night' have been cancelled owing to the arrival of Muharramul Haram from 30th December (tomorrow).
The government has also decided to take strict action against any vulgar ceremony held in connection with "New Year Night" during Muharramul Haram. Pillion riding has been banned and police has been put on high alert in order to avoid any untoward situation during the Ashura.
Regarding prestige of the Muharram month the advance booking to convene immoral ceremonies in Islamabad hotels, guesthouses and clubs have been cancelled.
