5 political workers killed in Karachi

Karachi - Five political workers were gunned down here on Sunday.
Armed men abducted PPP activist Riaz and shot him dead. On being informed, police found his body near Khuda-ki-Basti bridge.
His friend Yamin Ibrahim was also attacked in the jurisdiction of Surjani Police Station and was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The body of Riaz was sent to the Edhi morgue after autopsy where a large number of PPP activists blocked the road and pelted stones on vehicles.
PPP local leaders and police reached there and dispersed the angry crowed.
Similarly, a former MQM-H worker Naeem Abdul Sattar, 30, a resident of Sector 4, Korangi was shot dead by some unknown armed men He was shifted to the JPMC where doctors pronounced him dead. Zaman Town police registered a case against unknown assailants.
Another MQM-H former activist was killed in the jurisdiction of Sauadabad Police Station. Police said Junaid Khan, a resident of Malir had general store near RCD ground where two armed men riding a motorbike arrived and shot him dead. The outlaws managed to flee from the scene.
In the jurisdiction of Liaquatabad Police Station, Asif Muhammad was attacked by unknown armed men. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to his injures.
In the jurisdiction of Gulbahar Police Station, an activist of Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto group Latif Ghomro was gunned down. After his murder, enraged protestors blocked the road and protested against his killing.
