Curfew clamped Malakand Agency: Swat media center

Curfew has been imposed in Malakand Agency as operation is going on against militants. Security forces regained the control of Kalel Kandao and Kokarai areas and established check posts. Sources said militants positions in different areas of tehsil Maidan of Lower Dir shelled with heavy artillery from Timergirah. Two persons were killed and three injured when a mortar shell hit a house in Maidan area. Meanwhile, clashes continued between militants and national lashkar in Upper Dir. Security forces pounded militants hideouts overnight in upper parts of tehsil Kabal and Charbagh and Shamozai area of Bari Kot. However, no loss of life was reported. Security forces took control of Kokarai and Kalel Kandao and established checkpoints. According to Swat media center, curfew has been imposed in Malakand Agency whereas curfew will be relaxed from 8:00 am till 5 pm in Shangla, Madeen and Khawaza Khela.
