PPP not against any individual

FEDERAL Information Minister Sherry Rehman has said that the PPP has a stance about institutions and not about any individual, and every step would be taken as per the Constitution.

Talking to a private TV channel on Wednesday, she said that the constitutional package was going to be tabled in the Parliament to settle certain issues.

Reacting to PML-N Nawaz Sharif's statement that PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari has endorsed the action to remove President Musharraf, Sherry said PML-N is our coalition party and we have consulted them on every step.

She said that leaders of both parties have agreed to move forward on certain issues with consensus. The decisions would be taken in a democratic manner, she said, adding that efforts were under way to create a balance of powers as per the Constitution and the Charter of Democracy.
