PPP trying to woo 'like-minded'

ISLAMABAD - In the emerging tense and compelling situation, PPP-led ruling alliance is trying to woo ‘like-minded’ MPs from FATA, PML-Q and independents in a bid to muster maximum support for the success of Asif Ali Zardari in the upcoming Presidential poll, taking place on September 6, 2008.

TheNation learnt on Friday that none of the three nominees of PPP, PML-N and PML-Q was likely to withdraw from the race, thus pushing the ruling PPP to seek support of maximum like-minded MNAs and Senators and independents from FATA and PML-Q.
