Nothing to do with PPP-led coalition: Fahim
Source: Agencies June 30, 2008 HYDERABAD- PPP Vice-Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that he has nothing to do with the affairs of PPP-led coalition government.
Fahim disclosed that neither he has any intention to create rift in PPP ranks nor he has any role in PPP-led coalition set-up.
Fahim underlined the need for implementation of party manifesto in letter and spirit in order to address the issues of masses of the country.
He was talking to a group of newsmen after the launching ceremony of a book on hunting titled "Maruan Mout" here at a hotel here late Sunday evening.
Makhdoom Amin Fahim said the countrymen need resolution of their genuine grievances including the elimination of poverty, hunger and unemployment and there is need for paying serious attention towards addressing the issues of the people instead of engaging them in irrelevant matters.
He emphasised the need for implementation of the line of action, which was provided by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and bring about
such an atmosphere under which every person of the country could get his due rights.
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had the ability to accept the challenges of dictators and restore democracy in the country, Makhdoom Amin Fahim said and added that it was her struggle that general elections could be made possible in the country and subsequently a civilian government was formed.
He said now there is need to strengthen the democratic norms in the country instead of involving in irrelevant issues. The basic issues of the masses continue to exist and each allied party is trying to run the government according to its desires, he added.
Replying to a question regarding impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf, PPP Vice-chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim said there is need for addressing genuine issues of the province and poverty and
