Sequence of developments

LAHORE - The sequence of developments during command operation is as under:
The terrorists struck the Manawan Police Training School at about 7:20 on Monday morning.
They attacked from three locations on the policemen who were busy in general parade at the ground from three sides at about 7:30.
More than 800 policemen, all unarmed, were participating in the parade when the deadly attack took place.
The terrorists forced their entry into the police training school by scaling the boundary wall, opened sweeping fire and then took positions at the third-storey of the building.
The security forces came but very late. The armed police vehicles reached about 30 minutes later at bout 8:00 am.
- A crowed of people welcomed the Elite Force as they arrived 90 minutes later, with loud chants of Allah O' Akbar.
- Armoured Personal Carrier (APC) were sent to pick up the bodies at around 12:00 noon. These vehicles were also used to send Commandos inside the building.
- The operation carried out by Pakistan Army, Rangers, Elite Force and police started at about 1:00 pm.
- As the operation ended successfully at about 4:00 pm, the policemen and commandos celebrated their victory by chanting loud slogans of Allah O' Akbar and also resorted to aerial firing while they were taking positions at rooftop of the building.
- At least four terrorists were captured alive while five others blew themselves up during the operation.
