Sarai Alamgir boys shine in Rawalpindi Board SSC results
By ISRAR AHMED August 2, 2008 RAWALPINDI - The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) has announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination, 2008 during a ceremony held at Divisional Public School, Shamsabad, on Friday.
The boys candidates of Military College, Sarai Alamgir, Jhelum, shined by occupying top three positions across the board, in the SSC examination, taken by the BISE in April 2008.
In this ceremony, Provincial Minister for Minority and Human Rights Kamran Michael was the chief guest whereas BISE, Rawalpindi Chairman Dr Iftikhar Ahmed Baig, Secretary Prof Humayyun Iqbal, Controller Examination Prof Azam, EDO (Education) Ch Yousuf, president of Punjab Lectures and Professors Association Prof Ilyas Qureshi and the principals, professors of city’s prestigious colleges and parents of the position-holder students were also present.
According to the results announced by RBISE, the students of Science Group, Anees Ur Rehman of Military College, Sarai Alamgir, bagged over all first position in RBISE by obtaining 800 marks out of total of 850.
Whereas, Muhammad Adnan and Roshan Saleem Butt, both from the same institution remained second and third by securing 799 and 795 marks respectively from the total of 850.
The first position, among the girl students of Science group, was clinched by Shanza Nazish of Fauji Foundation Model Secondary School for Girls, Matore, Tehsil Kahuta, with 789 marks.
Saba Irshad, belonging to Divisional Public School (Girls Branch), Shamsabad, was second by obtaining 788 marks.
