Rs 48, 500 fine imposed on profiteers

RAWALPINDI - Following the directives of District Coordination Officer (DCO) Imdad Ullah Bosal, the Special Price Magistrates (SPMs) conducted raids in various localities of the city and imposed fine of Rs 48, 500 on the violators.
According to the details, SPM Sohail Maqbool conducted raids in the jurisdiction of Police Stations Banni, Kohati Bazar and Ganjmandi on 15 shops and imposed fine to the tune of Rs 18,500. He warned the violators that cases should be registered on overcharging and they would be sent to jail. He said that the orders of Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif would be implemented at every cost to provide atta to consumers on fixed rates. The other SPMs, who imposed fine Rs 30,000 included Fazal Hussain, Raja Nazakat Hussain.
