ISLAMABAD - Despite the allotments of plots to the people living in the slums  of  the twin cities, inhabitants of I-11 slum areas are waiting for divine aid to address their miseries regarding allotment of plots and basic amenities of life.

Recently, several media reports have revealed that Federal Government intends to allot plots to the majority of slum dwellers in Rawalpindi, besides the slums’ residents of Islamabad. However, yet again, the inhabitants of I-11 slum have been ignored.

Different slums dwellers who were not allotted plots as announced by the government, include slums of Dhoke Hassu, Dhoke Ratta, Dhoke Matkial, Gora Syedian and several other slums located at the outskirts of Rawalpindi.

The government officials also informed TheNation that minor plots would be allotted to the residents of the said slums against the payment of around Rs 20,000 and onwards. The said amount has to be paid in installments, the officials mentioned.
