PIMS lacks major healthcare facilities

ISLAMABAD- The apparently well-equipped public sector hospital Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, (PIMS) is not able to provide the facility of fluoroscopy, chest X-rays, mammography machine and bone mineral density tests thus causing enormous problems to the patients.

The important medical equipment of radiology department including, mammography machine, bone mineral density tests chest X-ray unit and fluoroscopy machines are out of order since long time, TheNation has learnt.

Machinery installed in PIMS Radiology Department have gone out of order since long and authorities concerned turned a deaf ear on the hue and cry of the patients. All the important medical equipment became defective due to improper maintenance, the source further informed.
