Defence Day celebrated with zeal, fervor

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The 43rd Defence day of Pakistan was celebrated throughout the country with renewed pledge, commitment and resolve to defend the ideological and geographical boundaries of the country from any aggression in line with the spirit and unity exhibited by the whole nation by standing shoulder to shoulder with defenders of the motherland in September 1965.

In connection with the Day, a ceremony was held at the Airbase Chaklala here on Saturday.

Main event of the ceremony was Defence Static exhibition in which, Defence equipment were displayed and aerial demonstration of F-16 fighter aircraft was also held.

Air Vice Marshal Faiz Amir, Air Officer Commanding Northern Air Command was the chief guest on the occasion. Besides airbase officers, JCOs, airmen; people belonging to various walks of life including school children attended the ceremony with great zeal.
