RBA vows to continue struggle

RAWALPINDI- Legal fraternity Rawalpindi Bar Association (RBA) Saturday protested here and reiterated their stance to continue their struggle till the restoration of the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Lawyers brought out a rally in the Court premises and came out on the Jehlum Road and blocked the Kutchehri Chowk for about 20 minutes. They chanted slogans against the delay in the restoration of the deposed CJ and criticised People’s Party led government for reinstating handpicked judges of High Courts and the Supreme Court.

The lawyers returned to the Bar hall and held a general body meeting under the chair of High Court Bar Association (HCBA) President, Sardar Asmatullah.
