'Special attention being paid to rural Islamabad's uplift'
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER July 12, 2008 ISLAMABAD - Chief Commissioner Hamid Ali Khan Friday said Islamabad Capital Territory Administration was spending tens of million of rupees on the development of rural areas.
He said the ICT had completed a number of projects in the rural areas during the last fiscal year and many projects were under completion.
The projects include water supply schemes, construction of rural roads, rehabilitation of rural roads, pavement of streets, upgradation of Basic Health Units and Rural Heath Centres in remote rural areas, many schemes relating to the development of agriculture and livestock in the area.
