Last day for submission of nomination papers to Senate Election

Today is the last day for submission of nomination papers for the Senate elections, while the Secretary Election Commission has extended the time up to 8.00 P. M. Sources said that Secretary Election Commission has extended the time for submission of nomination papers for Senate elections up to 8.00 P. M. Following the completion of submission of papers, the process of scrutiny of papers would kick off. Muslim league-N has announced the named of their candidates, while five candidates for Punjab senate elections submitted their papers on Thursday, which included three of PPP and two of ML-N. For Sindh and Balochistan Senate lections 19 candidates filed their papers for Senate lections on the second day of the process, while 9 candidates for 4 seats of Fata submitted their nomination papers at the Head Office of Election Commission, but none for the 2 Senate seats of Islamabad was received even on the second day.
