Meeting of tripartite commission gets underway in Rawalpindi

The meeting of Tripartite Commission comprising Pakistan, Afghanistan and allied forces has begun at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is representing Pakistan, whereas, Afghanistan’s Chief of General Staff General Bismillah and Commander of allied forces in Afghanistan General David McKiernan are also attend the high-level meeting. The tripartite commission will discuss a strategy to take effective measures against terrorism and overall situation along Pak-Afghan border areas.
