Operation begins in Hangu on provincial govt’s request: ISPR
July 17, 2008 Security forces have got the area cleared of militants up to Gulistan area. The local administration sought military help after killing of 17 FC men and blowing up of FC posts in Shanawari area, NWFP, ISPR said. ISPR said the security forces began operation against the militants in Hangu area on July 16 (Wednesday) which will continue till the area is completely cleansed of militants.
