'9/11 turns fortunes in Afghanistan's favour'

ISLAMABAD - The incident of 9/11 has turned fortunes in favour of Afghanistan and brought prosperity to the country, said Ambassador of Afghanistan to Pakistan Muhammad Anwar Anwarzai during a graduation ceremony here on Tuesday.
He was the chief guest at the graduation ceremony of Certified Accounting Technicians (CAT) organised by ACCA Pakistan.
The Ambassador was of the view that post-9/11 events have helped to get rid of the brutal reign of previous regime and as a result progress and prosperity came to the country.
He maintained that in the contemporary world followed by rapid economic growth and massive development, the technical knowledge of Accounting is very necessary to cope with the growing demands of industry. “In today’s world, technical knowledge is the key, I am glad that these young Afghans have made it”, stated the ambassador while paying his compliments to young Afghan accounting graduates.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of ACCA for providing quality services in the filed of accountancy for several decades and said “ACCA has put up a remarkable show, I hope it will keep on providing quality education”.
Moreover, Anwar Anwarzai stated that Afghanistan has lost professional and technical experts owing to more than three decades of war. He stressed upon the promotion of technical education in war prone country.
