Embassy dances the night away on day of Marriott blast

ISLAMABAD - The day when people either trapped in the fire or under the debris lost their lives in the devastating suicide bombing at Marriott Hotel, some diplomatic circles including dignitaries and commoners were too occupied with “Important Affairs” to offer even a slightest tinge of condolence with the bereaved families.

The devastating suicide attack at Marriott Hotel on Saturday last was carried out at around 7:49 pm. The same day a club in the Diplomatic Enclave, run by the embassy of a European country, had organised a dance party at 9 pm. The management of the club was well aware of the havoc that had been wreaked on precious lives, yet they remained devoid of a sympathetic touch and continued with the aforementioned function.
