Pak Army operating in FATA on Govt directive: PM

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Sunday said the army is undertaking operation in FATA on the directive of the government and the troops will be withdrawn when directed by the government. Addressing a press conference here, the Prime Minister said army is not the solution of any problems and its help is being taken to tackle an emergency situation. The military went to the tribal areas on the request of the government, he said. The international organizations are extending support for training the personnel of law enforcement agencies, he told the newsmen. “The terrorists follow no religion …. they are nothing but cancer for a country and its nation.” Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said.
