Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER August 27, 2008 ISLAMABAD - A group of civil society, local government representatives and People’s Water Alliance, Tuesday partly opposed federal governments’ draft National Drinking Water Policy (NDWP).
They were of the view that government should not charge against the poor services provide by their relevant government agencies regarding drinking water, while the timeframe given in the NDWP reflects government’s apathy to provide clean drinking water to all population of the country. This was voiced at a consultation meeting organised by Sungi Development Foundation here Tuesday to solicit recommendations for the NDWP.
