Plans for foodstuff at reduced rates finalised

He appealed to the trader community to provide maximum relief to the citizens during the month of Ramazan and extend their full cooperation to the administration.

It was decided in the meeting that 20 kg flour bag would be available at Rs 365 at sasta bazaars and 35 fair price shops. In markets it would be available at Rs 375. The rate would be implemented through strict checking by the magistrates.

The Chief Commissioner further informed that he has also requested the Punjab government to release wheat quota to the flourmills before the advent of Ramazan so that stability of flour prices could be ensured.

Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmad informed that a complaint cell has been set up in the DC office at phone No 9261504 to address the complaints of citizens immediately on the spot.
