Plans for foodstuff at reduced rates finalised

Strict vigilance on the prices of food items would be ensured. He further informed that dal Chana would be available at sasta bazaar at Rs 55 per kg, which is three rupee less than whole sale rate. Similarly at fair price shops it would be available at Rs 56 per kg. It would be 14 rupees cheaper than the market rate. Basin would be available at Rs61 per kg in sasta bazaar and Rs 63 per kg at fair price shops.

Similarly, mutton would be available at Rs 250 per kg in sasta bazaar and beef would be sold at Rs 110 per kg in sasta bazaar as compare to market rate of Rs 270 and Rs 130 respectively.

He further informed that whole sale dealers of Sabzi Mandi have been asked to ensure double supply of food commodities before the advent of Ramazan so that shortage of any item could not be occurred.

Amer Ali Ahmad further informed that profit margin of middle man would be fixed as 10 percent during the auction of fruits and vegetables in Sabzi Mandi on daily basis and rate display would be ensured by the magistrates on daily basis.
