Military launches fresh operation in Swat

Security forces on Tuesday launched a fresh operation against Taliban militants in Swat and Buner. According to a private TV channel, militants’ hideouts were targeted with cannon fire while aerial attacks were also carried out in various areas of the two districts. Jet fighters were overflying Swat district. However, it is unclear yet in which areas the operation is being carried out. Curfew has been imposed on Buner-Mardan road, it was reported.
