Printers cash in on wedding season boom
July 28, 2008 ISLAMABAD (APP) - Printers in the city are struggling to cope with burgeoning demand as their business rolls through its annual peak with the onset of the wedding season immediately before and after the Eid.
“The business in our market has ascended 500 percent due to the upcoming mega wedding season,” said Muhammad Jameel, owner of printers of wedding cards. “Now the shops printing wedding cards remain open till late night due to the increased number of orders and frequent visits by the customers”, Express TV reported. Centres for printing wedding cards in the city are now working extra hours to meet increased demand.
The wedding card business normally starts picking up before Ramazan and continues till after Eid, as Shawal is traditionally the peak wedding month.
