Zilhaj moon not sighted; Eid-ul-Azha on December 9

The moon for the month of Zilhaj was not sighted thus Eid-ul-Azha will fall on December 9 (Tuesday). The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee met here at Ministry of Religious Affairs with its Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman in the chair for sighting of the Zilhaj moon. The meetings of zonal and provincial committees were also held in their respective cities. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, on receiving no evidence of moon sighting, announced that the first day of Zilhaj will fall on Sunday while Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on December 9.
