Capital's security beefed up

ISLAMABAD - The Capital police have further tightened security to protect lives and property of citizens on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
Police spokesman said that additional police contingent have been deployed around the main installations of the city. Police have started patrolling all sectors in order to keep watch over outlaws and burglars as large number of residents of the city have gone towards their hometown cities to celebrate Eid with relatives. While quoting the statement of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Kaleem, the spokesman said that IGP had directed the police to make ensure the protection of citizens and their properties.
The IGP warned the Islamabad police that no negligence would be tolerated on part of Islamabad police regarding the protection of peoples and their belonging on the eve of Eid. He said that as many as 595 mosques and 30 Imam Barga where EID congregations would be held would be completely guarded by Islamabad police.
