French biography of Nusrat Fateh released

ISLAMABAD - Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan once commanded the Qawwali music scene with such a strong presence and authority that left many in a trance. A foreigner writer Pierre Alain Baud presented the first-ever French biography of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan titled 'Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the messenger of Qawwali' at Alliance Frantaise d'Islamabad here.

The Ambassador of France to Pakistan RTgis de Belenet along with members of Alliance Frantaise, Socialites, and Diplomats attended the book presentation ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion the Ambassador of France to Pakistan RTgis de Belenet said, "Dr Pierre-Alain Baud has been enjoying a close relationship with Nusrat Fateh Ali and his passion for his music and Sufism have made him well known among the Sufi singers community in Pakistan. No doubt this is passion that he will share with us".
