Govt committed to senior citizens welfare: Minister
By FOZIA AZAM November 28, 2008 ISLAMABAD - The Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education is gearing up efforts to introduce the due National Senior Citizens Welfare Bill aimed at establishing an institutional mechanism for provision of multifarious services for the wellbeing of senior citizens.
Samina Khalid Ghurki Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education stated this while addressing the closing ceremony of the three-day workshop on “Disaster Risk Reduction” here on Friday.
The three-day workshop was organised by Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education in collaboration with Merlin and HelpAge International.
