Ban on appointments irks QAU workers

ISLAMABAD - Unrest amongst the faculty members and employees of Quaid-e- Azam University (QAU) is getting chronic, as the process of appointments and promotions has been blocked for the last seven months.

Sources told TheNation that variety of posts have been laying vacant at the varsity as the administration had stopped the process of new appointments and promotions after the imposition of ban on government jobs.

They alleged the ban has been lifted and appointments have been going on in all govt departments but the VC of the QAU Qasim not willing to fill the vacant posts.
