Illegal visa agents defying govt's directives

ISLAMABAD - Despite the directives for put an end to the activities of illegal visa agents, the moneymakers are still operating in stark defiance of government’s orders, thus undermining the authority of government.

TheNation has observed that fake visa agents are carrying on their illegal business in the posh areas of Islamabad including Blue Area, Ayub Market F-8 Markaz , G-9 and other sectors.

Taking stern notice after the news published in TheNation against the fake visa dealers, dated August 10, 2008, the Chairman Senate’s Standing Committee on Interior Senator Talha Mehmood has directed the concerned officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to adopt immediate measure for the eradication of the illegal business of fake visa selling.

However, after the passage of three weeks, the unauthorised and unregistered visa agents can be seen conducting their illegal operations outside the premises of a well-reputed UK based visa Company.
