Sindh to raise NFC, mark-up on loans with PM
By RAMZAN CHANDIO July 1, 2008 KARACHI - The Sindh government will take up the lingering issues of change in the revenue distribution formula, waiver of mark-up on expensive Cash Development Loans and other problems being faced by the province, The Nation learnt on Monday.
Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani will preside over the meeting of Economic Coordination Committee and joint meeting of Federal and Sindh cabinets today (Tuesday) and Wednesday here in Karachi.
It is expected that the ECC meeting would be held at the Governor’s House while joint meetings of two cabinets at Chief Minister’s House.
The ways to explore the increase of investment opportunities in Sindh would be discussed in ECC meeting while steps to arrest the increasing prices of essential food items especially wheat and flour would also considered in the meeting, well-placed sources revealed to The Nation on Monday.
