Sindh to raise NFC, mark-up on loans with PM

They said that a meeting to tackle the electricity shortage in the city would also be chaired by Prime Minister in which the KESC administration would brief the PM on the department’s problems.

It is also likely that Sindh Chief Minister would present first 100 days’ performance report of the provincial government to the Prime Minister. The PM will also be briefed about the law and order situation in the province especially in Karachi.

The promises of providing relief to masses in first 100 days and other projects announced by the Prime Minister after taking vote of confidence from National Assembly would be reviewed in the joint meeting of federal and Sindh cabinets, a senior official of Sindh government said.

He said the issues of immediate formation of new NFC award, change in the distribution formula of resources among the provinces as well as provinces and federation, waiver of expensive mark up rate ranging from 7 per cent to 17 per cent on cash development loans of federal government, transfer of General Sales Tax to provinces would also be taken up in the meeting.
