Jama'at criticises peace process

KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Azad Kashmir Chief Abdul Rasheed Turabi on Friday said that the freedom movement of Kashmir was the guarantee of the sovereignty and stability of Pakistan.

He urged Pakistan government to reconsider the dialogue process with India and apprise the international community about the India’s rule in Kashmir.

He was addressing the press conference at JI office Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq flanked by JI Karachi Chief Mohammad Hussain Mehanti and other JI leaders.

He alleged that the President Musharraf had severely damaged the Kashmir issue through neglecting the historical stance of the Kashmiris. Criticising the ongoing peace process, he said that the same was a conspiracy to sabotage the freedom movement of Kashmiries.He demanded that solution of Kashmir issue must be according to the aspirations of Kashmiri people and in accordance with the UN resolutions.
