Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER June 2, 2008

The City Nazim said that considering its importance the Kashmir Road has been constructed as a two-lane corridor with storm water drains and 4ft footpath at either side of the road. Before its construction all the underground utilities were also shifted on one side to avoid any further digging of the road.

He said that the main trunk water line for Clifton was laid beneath this road and the whole process has taken 9 months to complete.

Nazim Karachi said that construction of Dada Bhai Nooruddin Road will also begin soon which had been destroyed due to the Muslimabad Hydrant. The City Government has now planned to construct this road on international standard.

Congratulating residents of Jamshed Town, the City Nazim said that construction of all roads in this area has been completed including the New M.A Jinnah Road and Kashmir Road while the development work of Khalid Bin Waleed Road and other adjacent roads was also in process.

Nazim Karachi said that in order to provide better facilities to citizens hundreds of development projects have been under taken by the city government. Many of them have been completed and inaugurated. We are trying to complete remaining works as soon as possible.
