Altaf proposes setting up of fund to end crisis
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER November 1, 2008 KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has proposed the President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Gilani to establish national fund to bring the country out from financial crisis.
Addressing the residents of Clifton, Defence, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and North Nazimabad via telephone on late Friday night, he announced Rs 1 million to help overcome the crisis and appealed the elite class to save the country.
He said that Pakistan was being defaulted thus we should save the country. He also appealed the people to reduce their lavish expenditures and use minimum electricity and also use ‘one-dish’ in their functions.
