'Q' will stand by President: Memon

KARACHI - Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production Senator Nisar A Memon, has said that Pakistan Muslim League (Q) will stand by President Pervez Musharraf whom it elected as President from Senate, National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies.

Speaking at a press conference at a local hotel on Monday, Nisar Memon observed that it was President Pervez Musharraf, who gave a stable democracy to the country, and fulfilled his all promises including removal of army uniform, while change of command took place before the entire nation and then he took oath as the Civilian President.

He said that despite all negative propaganda drive that President will not hold general elections, he did hold the elections in a most transparent manner and as a result a 4-party coalition government came into being at the centre.
