Petition against Siddiqui withdrawn

Earlier, a division bench of SHC had rejected the petition filled against the same presidential candidate, while the court also imposed penalty to the petitioner to pay of fine of Rs. 100000 to the court. The petitioner Zakauddin submitted that when Saeed-uz-Zaman was a lawyer, he rendered his services as a legal consultant of his company named Dastagheer Investment Management Company.

When he was appointed as judge of SHC, he gave his verdict to shut down the said company on the application of Bank of America in 1987.
