Russian centre postpones film festival
By SYED INTIKHAB ALI October 4, 2008 KARACHI - Russian centre of Science and Culture (Friendship House) in Karachi has postponed the Russian Film Festival which is scheduled to be held from October 8-11 in the Friendship House to mark the completion of 100 years of Russian Cinema, Federation House sources told The Nation on Saturday.
Sources said that the decision to this effect was taken in the light of ongoing circumstances of the country as the event was planned to organised in a splendid manner in which all the consulates, dignitaries, film directors, writers, film critics and several other had been invited. But now all of them are being informed about the postponement of the event. The new date of the Russian Film festival would be announced soon.
