Banks harass clients despite SBP directives
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER November 6, 2008 KARACHI - Despite strict directives of Sindh High Court and the State Bank of Pakistan to the commercial banks not to misbehave with clients who failed to pay the instalments of their loans, various banks are still harassing people, The Nation has learnt.
Anwer, who got loan from three different banks for business and was continuous paying instalments, said that due to recent slump in the business activities in the country, he could not pay his dues in time. Resultantly, the concerned banks started using illegal methods to pressurise him.
