City Government to deal strictly with traffic violators

KARACHI-City District Government Karachi has decided to deal strictly with the illegal parking and violation of traffic rules at signal free corridor-II.

During a high level meeting chaired by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal at the Nagan Chowrangi Project Office on Sunday it was decided to post a contingent of 15 community policing workers at SFC-II to help traffic police in checking traffic violations including illegal parking of vehicles at main road. The community police was directed to provide helping hand to traffic police while patrolling non stop at corridor -II to clear any hurdle in the smooth flow of traffic from Sharea Faisal to Surjani.

Nazim Karachi on this occasion also asked the owners and management of marriage halls at Rashid Minhas Road and Millenium Mall to make arrangements for the parking of vehicles concerned to them and appoint guards for this purpose as hereafter no vehicle will be allowed to be parked at the main road.

He warned that the city government will take legal action against the owners of marriage halls if they did not cooperate which may include cancellation of permission issued to them.
